Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote marijuana law reform at the federal, state and local levels. We discuss the consequences of marijuana prohibition and the benefits of alternative policies. We strive to “demythologize” cannabis so that a more rational discussion of cannabis policy can occur.
NORML of Macomb County is a recognized affiliate chapter of The National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws.
We believe that responsible marijuana use causes no harm to society and should be of no interest to state and federal governments. We believe in the removal of all penalties for the private possession of marijuana by adults, cultivation for personal use, and the casual, nonprofit transfers of small amounts. We also support the development of a legally controlled market for marijuana.
